Commercial and Residential Real Estate Attorneys in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Area

Minnesota and Wisconsin Real Estate Lawyers

Homeowners, business owners, government officials, and organizations of all kinds are likely to encounter real estate law at some point in time. Our seasoned real estate attorneys regularly provide advice and counsel in all types of real estate transactions, including but not limited to the following:

Seller’s Disclosure ~ We advise sellers on their obligations under Minnesota’s seller’s disclosure law and how to comply with them. We represent sellers, buyers, and realtors of residential property in civil matters involving Minnesota’s seller’s disclosure law, and related claims of fraud and misrepresentation, in district court and arbitration proceedings.

Commercial Real Estate ~ We represent business clients in a variety of complex transactions including the purchase or sale of commercial property, commercial lease negotiation, financing, title review, environmental issues, zoning, development, liens and encumbrances, and access and easement issues.

Land Use Law ~ As part of the Firm’s governmental practice, our attorneys handle a broad array of land use issues on a daily basis for our municipal clients. This expertise is shared with our individual and business clients, who we regularly represent before governmental bodies, including city councils, planning commissions, economic development authorities, and condemnation commissions.

Real Estate Development ~ Our attorneys represent landowners, developers, and builders in a wide variety of legal issues including construction, contract disputes, financing, document review, platting, and sale/purchase negotiation.

Boundary Disputes and Title Problems ~ Our experienced attorneys confront these complex problems through title analysis, drafting of necessary documents, negotiation, and, if necessary, curative court action to “quiet title” or register the property.

Mechanic’s Liens ~ Our experienced real estate attorneys work with you to prepare the necessary forms, implement internal processes for your business, and complete timely service and recording of documents to ensure that your mechanic’s liens are established, preserved, and enforceable. In addition, if you have been served with a notice of a mechanic’s lien or if your property is subject to a mechanic’s lien, we can assist you in resolving and/or challenging the encumbrance in an effort to clear title to your property.

Real Estate Litigation ~ Although it is our goal to avoid costly litigation, occasionally the need to go to court arises. Our real estate litigation attorneys are experienced, aggressive, and have the skills to win the case. Our trial attorneys represent clients in all types of real estate matters and in all phases of litigation. You can trust our litigators to vigorously and successfully represent your interests through trial and, if necessary, through appeal.
